JOHN R. BRUMBERG’s clients include publicly traded companies involved in complex litigation, individuals making large personal injury claims, and recognized politicians. In several prominent cases, he has represented clients facing intense national and local media and governmental scrutiny. He also has experience representing clients on all aspects of litigation and public relations strategy.

He has successfully obtained verdicts for his clients at both arbitration and trial. He advises individuals and business clients in a wide variety of matters including intellectual property issues and insurance procurement, coverage, and claims. As lead counsel, he has recovered millions of dollars for his clients in high-stakes commercial litigation.

Mr. Brumberg has been recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star in the area of Business Litigation and he is a notable legal author. His article titled “Patton Sounds Death Knell for Statutory Employer Defense” was cited as authority by Amici Curiae before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. The Pittsburgh Business Times has featured his commentary detailing the development of natural gas law in Pennsylvania and proposing a strategy to reduce associated business uncertainty and litigation costs. Mr. Brumberg has also been published in the topics of trade secrets and cryptocurrency litigation.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Brumberg served as a legal intern to Judge Joy Flowers Conti of the U.S. District Court, Western District of Pennsylvania and for the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. He earned his J.D. from Duke University School of Law, where he was the recipient of a Duke Law Scholarship.
