MICHAEL T. SWEENEY is an associate at Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti, LLP and a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation and the Estate & Trust Litigation; Estate Planning and Administration Practice Groups. His practice focuses on commercial litigation, including business disputes, professional liability matters, and complex contractual claims.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sweeney practiced at a national law firm where he concentrated his practice in civil litigation, with an emphasis in medical malpractice defense, representing large healthcare systems, hospitals, physicians, and insurance companies in all phases of litigation. He is an active member of the Allegheny County Bar Association.

Mr. Sweeney earned his J.D., cum laude, from the Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University and his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the State University of New York (SUNY).
