JAMES F. MARRION is a partner at Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti, LLP where he practices in the areas of Product Liability (he is the leader of the Product Liability Practice Group), Commercial Litigation, and Aviation Law.

Mr. Marrion’s product liability practice is well known in the automotive, autonomous motor vehicle technology, recreational vehicles, and aviation industries. He has successfully represented airlines, manufacturers, and distributors in all aspects of civil litigation, involving: wrongful death/survival, product liability, and breach of warranty lawsuits in federal and state courts. Mr. Marrion’s success includes defense jury trial verdicts, arbitration awards, and summary judgments. As a single example of Mr. Marrion’s trial, appellate, and litigation skills, not only did he obtain a defense verdict in the trial of Jones v. Eastern Elevator Service & Sales Co., et al., but he also prevailed in the Superior and Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania following plaintiff’s appeals (No. 12 WAP 2017). Mr. Marrion served as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Defense Research Institute’s Biomechanics & Injury Causation Specialized Litigation Group of the Product Liability Committee, one of the largest and most active committees in DRI. Mr. Marrion is an active member of the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Allegheny County Bar Association. He is also a contributor to and assists with The Pittsburgh Promise and Jubilee Soup Kitchen. Since 2021, Mr. Marrion has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® for his practice in Product Liability Litigation.

While attending the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Mr. Marrion was a semifinalist in the Moot Court Competition and Trial Counseling Competition. While attending Villanova for his undergraduate degree, Mr. Marrion was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society. Prior to joining Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti, LLP, Mr. Marrion clerked for the Honorable Judge Kate Ford Elliott of the Pennsylvania Superior Court.
