Jonathan C. Parks has joined the firm as an attorney in the Intellectual Property Practice Group and the Intellectual Property Litigation Group.  Mr. Parks is experienced in handling all facets of patent, copyright, trademark and technology transfer counseling and protection issues.  Mr. Parks also has considerable experience in patent, copyright and trademark litigation and intellectual property due diligence issues. He has been in private practice since 1996.  Mr. Parks has a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University, an M.S. degree in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University and a J.D. from the Duquesne University School of Law, where he was editor-in-chief of the Law Review.

Alicia M. Passerin, Ph.D. has joined the firm as an attorney in the Intellectual Property Practice Group and the Intellectual Property Litigation Group.  Dr. Passerin is experienced in counseling clients in all areas of intellectual property, including patent prosecution, trademark protection, copyright protection, trade secret protection, licensing and intellectual property litigation.  She has been in private practice since 2004.  Dr. Passerin was selected in July 2008 for inclusion in the Rising Stars Edition of Pennsylvania Super Lawyers.  She received a B.A. degree in Biology/English from Washington & Jefferson College, M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Neurobiology from Ohio University and a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh.

Christy G. Rothwell, Ph.D. also joined the firm as an attorney in the Intellectual Property Practice Group.  Dr. Rothwell has experience in all areas of patent, trademark, copyright and technology transfer counseling and protection issues.  Dr. Rothwell has a B.S. degree in Chemistry and Medical Technology from Georgetown College, a Ph.D. in Tumor Biology/Biomedical Science from Georgetown University, and a J.D. from the Duquesne University School of Law.  She has been in private practice since 2006.  Dr. Rothwell has significant research experience and was a Post Doctoral Research Associate at Harvard Medical School/Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
