Kelsey A. Schneider is One of Pittsburgh’s 50 Finest

July 22, 2019

Pietragallo’s Human Resources Manager, Kelsey A. Schneider, has been selected as one of Pittsburgh’s 50 Finest by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Pittsburgh’s 50 Finest honors “50 professionals … for their professional achievements and commitment to giving back.”

Kelsey first started working with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in 2015, when she became a member of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s 65 Roses Sports Auction Committee. When asked why she continues to work with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Ms. Schneider replied, “I just love the work they do – especially as I have learned more about the disease and met children and families that it affects.”

Cystic fibrosis is a devastating genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. More than ten million Americans are symptomless carriers of the defective CF gene. Through it’s Foundation-supported research and care, advances have been made over the past 60 years that have improved the median survival age of those suffering from Cystic Fibrosis but the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation knows more can be done and they are committed to improving the lives of those with Cystic Fibrosis. Ms. Schneider’s achievement will culminate with the Pittsburgh’s 50 Finest finale celebration Gala on August 17th at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown.
