Last week, Partner Douglas Rosenblum was honored with two awards at the Montgomery Bar Association, The Keystone Pro Bono Attorney Award and The President’s Bronze Volunteer Service. This is the second year in a row that Doug has received The Keystone Pro Bono Attorney Award, an award recognizing attorneys who have provided over 50 hours in a year of pro bono legal services. To be considered for this award, the layer has to deliver legal services at no fee or a substantially reduced fee, participate in activities for improving the law, the legal system or legal progression, and voluntarily contribute financial support to organizations that provide legal services to those of limited means.
The President’s Bronze Volunteer Service award recognizes those whose service positively impacts their communities while inspiring others to take action too. Founded in 2003, the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation founded the President’s Volunteer Service Award to recognize the important role of volunteers in America’s strength and national identity.
