KAY L. STONEMETZ is special counsel at Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti, LLP and a member of the firm’s Estate & Trust Litigation; Estate Planning and Administration Practice Group. Her practice focuses on income taxation, estates and trust law.

Ms. Stonemetz has extensive experience in tax planning, research, and compliance for individuals, corporations, partnerships, fiduciaries, and estates. Her work includes representation before the Internal Revenue Service and state and local taxing authorities, as well as retirement benefits planning and compliance. She regularly counsels and represents individuals and business owners, with a particular focus on high net worth individuals, professional service corporations, and closely held businesses.

Ms. Stonemetz is a frequent lecturer on individual and business tax planning and compliance topics. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Taxation Section of the Allegheny County Bar Association. She has held numerous leadership roles within the legal and accounting communities, including serving as Co-President and Executive Board Member of the Women’s Bar Association of Western Pennsylvania; as a Board Member of Allegheny County Bar Association Services, Inc.; as an Executive Board Member and Chair of the Tax Committee of the PICPA, Pittsburgh Chapter; and as a Board Member of the Pittsburgh Council on Public Education.
