Partner Shelly R. Pagac of Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti, LLP has been appointed as a Hearing Committee Member serving the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania effective July 1, 2020. This appointment is a three-year term.
Mrs. Pagac is the Practice Group Leader for the Employment and Labor Practice Group of the firm and has been counseling, training, and defending employers since 1988.
Mrs. Pagac has successfully defended clients in state and federal courts throughout the United States including: Alabama, Arizona, California, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas and Utah. She has litigated cases in all areas of employment law including: non-compete agreements, class actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Sarbanes-Oxley, and various state tort claims such as defamation, wrongful discharge, and breach of contract.
The Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania is dedicated to protecting the public, maintaining the integrity of the legal profession, and safeguarding the reputation of the courts. The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania established the Disciplinary Board in 1972. In regard to the appointment, Mrs. Pagac commented, “I look forward to serving in this capacity and doing all I can to help protect our community.”
