PITTSBURGH, PA – John A. Schwab of Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti, LLP presented at Today’s General Counsel Institute on July, 17 2014 in New York, NY.
Mr. Schwab discussed electronic discovery issues in government investigations and white collar cases. The presentation focused on protecting client’s confidential and proprietary information provided to government investigators and prosecutors. The panel also addressed the unique challenges of discovery in the context of parallel government investigations where both criminal and civil penalties are at issue.
John A. Schwab is a senior associate in the White Collar Criminal Defense and the Commercial Litigation practice groups of Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti and is based in the firm’s Pittsburgh office. He is also co-chair of the firm’s Cyber Liability and Technology Law practice group. Mr. Schwab is an experienced litigator, having represented various individuals, government officials, health care practitioners, and corporate executives and officers in matters investigated by the United States of America and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He has defended clients in investigations and cases involving alleged violations of federal and state laws, including mail fraud, bank fraud, internal revenue fraud, procurement fraud, health care fraud, and conspiracy. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Schwab served in the United States Marine Corps as the Chief Defense Trial Attorney for the Defense Office at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
