James W. Kraus, of Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti, LLP, has been selected as the recipient of the DRI’s Albert H. Parnell Outstanding Program Chair Award which will be presented during the DRI Annual Meeting on October 17 in Chicago, Illinois. This award honors a program chair who created a dynamic educational program enhancing DRI’s image, and who further led and participated in effective planning, marketing and presentation of the educational program while displaying leadership, dedication and creativity in seminar development. Mr. Kraus was honored for serving as program chair for the Inaugural Government Enforcement and Corporate Compliance Seminar held this summer in Washington DC.
Mr. Kraus is a partner in the firm’s Pittsburgh office where he serves as Vice-Chair of the White Collar Criminal Defense Practice Group. He is also a member of the firm’s Health Care Practice Group. Mr. Kraus concentrates his practice in the areas of white collar criminal defense and internal investigations, health care litigation and financial services litigation.
Mr. Kraus previously served as a JAG criminal prosecutor with the U.S. Army’s 4th Infantry Division. He later served as that Unit’s Operational and International Law Officer. After leaving active duty, he continued service in the Army Reserve until 2000, reaching the rank of Major.
