STEPHEN F. RAIOLA has years of experience focusing on litigation and investigations, with a particular emphasis on intellectual property litigation, product liability litigation, mass torts, class actions, and commercial litigation. In addition, Mr. Raiola is an emerging member of Pennsylvania’s appellate bar, who has personally briefed eight appellate matters across four federal circuits and the Pennsylvania Superior Court in addition to presenting oral argument as lead counsel in the United States Courts of Appeals for the Third and Ninth Circuits.
Before making the decision to return to Pittsburgh, Mr. Raiola spent four years with a leading international law firm in Washington D.C. During that time he served as:
Prior to his relocation to Washington D.C., he was an associate at an international law firm in New York City and clerked for Judge D. Michael Fisher on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Mr. Raiola is recognized in the Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch 2023 edition for his practice in Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions.
Active in community service, Mr. Raiola has performed thousands of hours of pro bono legal services for indigent civil litigants in Courts of Appeals throughout the country and has served in several leadership roles in the Federalist Society. At present, Mr. Raiola is the Vice President of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Federalist Society. Prior to that, Mr. Raiola served on the Board of the D.C. Young Lawyers Chapter of the Federalist Society, where he organized events with former Arizona Senator Jon Kyl, former Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff, and accomplished Supreme Court litigator Kannon Shanmugam.
