PETER W. NIGRA is an Associate at Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti, LLP. He is a civil litigation attorney practicing across a spectrum of our Practice Groups including Insurance Coverage, Construction, Risk Management, Transportation, Professional Liability, the Pro Bono Guardianship Program, and Litigation. Mr. Nigra has defended corporate entities, physicians, public agencies and solicitors, law firms, manufacturers, contractors, sub-contractors, and employers from a variety of claims. Mr. Nigra has also successfully represented individuals and entities in ERISA, personal injury, and breach of contract matters.
Mr. Nigra is proud to assist low-income families in securing guardianships for loved ones through the firm’s Pro Bono Guardianship Program.
Mr. Nigra has been selected as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star in the area of Civil Litigation. He was also recognized in both the 2021 and 2022 editions of Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch for his practice in Commercial Litigation, Insurance Law, and Construction.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Nigra clerked for the Honorable R. Stanton Wettick, Jr. in the Commerce and Complex Litigation Center in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas, wherein he handled class actions, international commercial insurance coverage disputes, consumer protection claims, and complex commercial disputes for the Court. He continued his clerkship with the Honorable Robert J. Colville before entering private practice.
Mr. Nigra received his B.S., magna cum laude, in Psychology, with a Philosophy minor, from John Carroll University. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where he was a member of the Law Review.Contact Peter W. Nigra now
