REBECCA JOHNSON BARKSDALE is an associate at Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti, LLP and she is a member of the Commercial Litigation, Insurance Coverage, and Construction Practice Groups.

Prior to joining Pietragallo, Ms. Barksdale worked at The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball (MLB) in the Corporate Legal department.

Ms. Barksdale earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School where she was twice the recipient of the Paul C. Weiler Scholar Award. During law school, she participated in a variety of activities including the Journal of Sports & Entertainment Law, the Women’s Law Association, and the Committee on Sports and Entertainment Law. She earned her B.A. from Gettysburg College, where she graduated magna cum laude.

Ms. Barksdale has been appointed to serve on Gettysburg College’s BOLD (Burgians of the Last Decade) Council for a two-year term. She was also selected by the Allegheny County Bar Association as a part of the Young Lawyers Division Bar Leadership Initiative Class of 2020-2021. Ms. Barksdale is a member of the Hay-Sell Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Inn of Court.

Ms. Barksdale has been recognized as a Pennsylvania Rising Star in Civil Litigation by Super Lawyers. She is a published author in several publications including The Mercury and the Pittsburgh Tribune Review.
