On Monday, June 5, 2023, Tonya Lupinacci will speak at the Montgomery Bar Association’s Women in the Law CLE “Title IX: The Campus Disciplinary Process in Higher Education”.
Tonya, along with co-presenters Lorie Dakessian of Clark Hill and Katie Colgan Vodzak Title IX Coordinator at Thomas Jefferson University, will cover a broad range of topics covering Title IX compliance, investigations, and the disciplinary process in higher education. This CLE will feature an introduction and overview of Title IX and its evolution over the years with a focus on the highly anticipated Title IX regulations that are expected to be released by the Biden Administration in May 2023. The presentation will also cover the very important role of Title IX coordinator on a college campus, and the role of outside counsel in the Title IX disciplinary process. Attendees can expect to receive practical guidelines to the disciplinary process that includes: 1) investigations; 2) hearings; and the 3) resolution of disputes.
