Pietragallo partners John Schwab and Jim Kraus will be discussing topics related to federal criminal practice in a four-hour symposium hosted by the Allegheny County Bar Association on Friday, April 24th, 2020.
Do you have your first criminal case in Federal Court or do you practice criminal defense and need a refresher on the specifics of practicing in Federal Court? If so, this program is for you.
During this symposium, attendees will learn about the criminal process in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and how to handle a criminal case from start to finish. Speakers will includes experts on all sides: judges, prosecutors, defense counsel, and probation officers. The program will cover the charging process, initial hearings, change of plea hearing and trial, the presentence report process and sentencing hearings. It also will include an orientation to the Western District by the Chief Judge.
