  4. a desire to do complex civil and criminal litigation; and
  5. intellectual curiosity.

Our Philadelphia Center City office is seeking a dynamic Business Development Assistant with exceptional attention to detail and excellent customer service skills. This individual will work with a small, hands-on collaborative team on a multitude of responsibilities related to internal and external business development/marketing activities. Additionally, this individual will represent, and be situated, in the front office of the Firm and is the first point of contact for incoming guests, clients old and new, and all Firm personnel.

The ideal candidate must have the following skills for consideration:

  • Bachelor’s degree, plus two to three years of work experience in a law firm or a marketing/PR role preferred
  • Strong attention to detail in all work
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products – Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of management, staff and clients
  • Forward thinking, organized, and a team player
  • Independently motivated with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and still meet deadlines
  • Ability to independently solve problems and exercise sound judgment
  • Familiarity with general legal terminology a plus
  • Experience with iManage & Prolaw a plus

Job responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring daily CNS reports and news alerts
  • Conducting background research as requested using the internet and internal Firm resources including, but not limited to, WestLaw and LexisNexis
  • Coordinating and managing Firm-wide business development activities and initiatives
  • Overseeing and proofreading postings to multiple websites, blogs, and social media accounts
  • Communicating with attorneys regarding Business Development activities and new opportunities
  • Supporting practice areas with requests regarding promotional and internal meeting materials
  • Assisting with coordination of proposals and RFPs
  • Data entry across multiple programs including Prolaw, CRM, and Excel
  • Identifying and participating in targeted events and networking opportunities
  • Answering the Firm general line and greeting guests while maintaining overall appearance of work space including Firm entryway and conference rooms
  • Assisting in preparation and setup of conference rooms for internal meetings, conferences, and events
  • Coordinating and circulating daily attendance report for Philadelphia personnel
  • Maintaining the Firm’s Brand Standards
