The Pittsburgh office is seeking a highly motivated and industrious paralegal to provide direct support for the Senior Partners in the Commercial Litigation practice area.
Job responsibilities would include:
- Managing the lifecycle of active matters/cases and monitoring case progress.
- Deposition and trial preparation by way of:
-Conducting legal research for litigation or legal briefs,
-Identifying, compiling, researching, and analyzing information prior to preparing reports and exhibits,
-Preparing case files, binders, summaries, and other paper/electronic case materials such as witness binders, pre-trial binders, and compilation of trial exhibits, and
-Coordinating and preparing witnesses testimony at trial and depositions.
- Preparing general motions, pleadings, subpoenas, and other documents as requested.
- Responding to discovery requests.
- Electronic filing of pleadings such as Appearances, Answers, and all pretrial and dispositive Motions in state and federal courts.
- Logging and entering in billable time to Prolaw billing system.
The ideal candidate must have the following skills for consideration:
- At least 7 years’ experience supporting attorneys in complex litigation.
- Experience with county, state, and federal courts, including knowledge of CM/ECF filing.
- Strong attention to detail in all work.
- Ability to manage multiple files and to prioritize workloads to effectively meet all deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of management, staff, and clients.
- Forward thinking, organized, and a team player.
- Ability to independently solve problems and exercise sound judgment with minimal direction.
- Experience with litigation technology applications such as eDiscovery Point, Case Notebook, and Relativity.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products – Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Paralegal Certificate preferred.
- Experience with iManage and Prolaw a plus.

- At least 2-5 years’ experience in litigation areas such as commercial litigation, professional liability, commercial contracts, products liability, class actions, multi-district litigation, and fiduciary, estates and trusts.
- Excellent academic credentials as well as strong organization, writing, and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of county, state, and federal courts and related rules of civil procedures.
- Experience in active participation in depositions, oral arguments, and courtroom experiences.

The Philadelphia Center City office is seeking a highly motivated, experienced legal assistant to provide secretarial and administrative support for three attorneys in multiple practice groups.
Job responsibilities would include:
- Transcribing, composing, formatting, editing, proofreading, and finalizing all forms of documents, correspondence, pleadings, and reports.
- Opening of new files, file set up and organization, preparing conflicts checks, and updating glance sheets and litigation profiles as needed.
- Preparing and filing of pleadings such as Appearances, Answers, and all pretrial and dispositive Motions in state and federal courts.
- Coordinating, maintaining, and calendaring upcoming trial dates, arbitrations, jury trials, depositions, inspections, and all corresponding status notes.
- Managing incoming mail, entering daily time entries, submitting vendor invoices for payment.
- Maintain attorney calendars, travel arrangements, and expense reporting.
- Reviewing and editing prebills per client guidelines.
The ideal candidate must have the following skills for consideration:
- At least 5 years’ experience assisting attorneys in complex litigation areas such as employment & labor, white collar federal litigation, government enforcement & compliance, and commercial litigation.
- Experience with both State and Federal courts, including knowledge of CM/ECF filing.
- Strong attention to detail in all work.
- Ability to manage multiple files and to prioritize workloads to effectively meet all deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of management, staff and clients.
- Forward thinking, organized, and a team player.
- Ability to independently solve problems and exercise sound judgment with minimal direction.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products – Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Our Philadelphia Center City office is looking for a lawyer with a minimum of six years litigation experience who possesses the following skill sets:
- demonstrated research, writing, and drafting ability (i.e., Law Review/Judicial Clerkship);
- substantial federal litigation experience;
- a keen interest and knowledge of the Federal False Claims Act/Anti-Kickback Act;
- a desire to do complex civil and criminal litigation; and
- intellectual curiosity.
