Bad Faith
Pietragallo has a significant insurance coverage and bad faith practice in which the firm prepares coverage opinions, provides counsel to clients on claims and files declaratory judgment actions on behalf of both insurance carriers and policyholders in the Tri-State area. Our attorneys have interpreted the following types of policies: auto, comprehensive general liability, workers’ compensation, property, accident, life and health on a routine basis. Firm members have handled claims arising under surety and fidelity bonds, construction bonds and mine reclamation bonds. We have also defended bad faith, unfair claims practice and sale fraud cases against carriers. In addition, members of the firm have been repeatedly requested to present seminars and training on coverage issues.
