Legal Secretary: Our ideal candidate will provide full-time secretarial support for up to four attorneys in multiple practice groups and have the following skills for consideration:

  • 5+ years of experience assisting all levels of attorneys in complex litigation areas such as Commercial Litigation and Intellectual Property Litigation. Provides computer hardware and software technical support both in person and remotely to all end users.
  • Experience with both State and Federal courts, including knowledge of CM/ECF filing.Provides end user one-on-one training.
  • Strong attention to detail in all work, including transcribing, formatting, editing and finalizing all forms of documents and correspondence.Tracks inventory and updates.
  • Maintain attorney calendars, expense reporting and travel arrangements. Contributes to technology guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple (often large) files and to prioritize workloads.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of management, staff and clients.
  • Initiative and willingness to be a team player.
  • Ability to independently solve problems and exercise sound judgment with minimal direction.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products – Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

 

Marketing and Business Development Manager: The Pittsburgh office has an immediate opening for a Marketing and Business Development Manager. This candidate will be responsible for executing business development initiatives focused on supporting firm ‘brand’, industry focus, and building and enhancing relationships with clients and prospects. This position will initiate, develop and implement meaningful, client-centric marketing and business development strategies as they pertain to the overall success of the Firm.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collect and develop market intelligence and identify new business opportunities and targets
  • Work with individual attorneys and practice groups to develop and execute personalized marketing plans
  • Develop and implement a program for monitoring execution and results of personalized and group marketing plans
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and business plan support to attorneys
  • Promote the firm and attorneys both locally and nationally 
  • Maintain the firm’s web and social media presence including LinkedIn, multiple blogs, email blasts
  • Secure placement of articles, speaking engagements and association opportunities 
  • Monitor e-mail campaign success rates and website analytics using multiple software’s such as MailChimp, Google Analytics and LeadLander
  • Plan seminars, conferences and other firm-sponsored events (including CLEs).  Take primary responsibility for program planning, audience development and direct lead follow-up
  • Attend and participate in practice group meetings and facilitate client development activities and related follow up
  • Draft, edit and proofread all firm marketing materials including brochures, firm advertisements, announcements, etc.
  • Provide additional marketing and administrative support as needed

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, along with a critical thinking aptitude. 
  • Strong strategic planning and organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple assignments and projects in alignment with the firm’s goals and objectives.
  • Self-motivated with  the ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels, both within our organization as well as with professionals in other law firms, in order to meet business development objectives
  • Team player with an independent working style and outstanding project management skills along with the ability to effectively manage competing, shifting priorities and consistently meet deadlines
  • General legal industry knowledge, design, print and technical knowledge; Technical applications used day to day:  Microsoft Office, Adobe CS Suite, MailChimp, Google Analytics, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft SharePoint

Education and Professional Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Minimum of five years professional work experience with a law firm or in a related field.  Experience with a litigation centric law practice is a plus.

Paralegal: Immediate opening for an experienced paralegal/paraprofessional with a minimum of five years’ experience to work in complex commercial litigation, government investigations, white collar criminal defense, and employment litigation in both federal and state court. The position requires a motivated, detail oriented, self-starter with excellent organizational, computer and writing skills. Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and litigation technology applications such as Relativity, Case Notebook, Case Logistics, Trial Director, Sanction and Summation.
