William W. Schrimpf, Sr.
WILLIAM W. SCHRIMPF, SR. is a partner with the law firm Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti, LLP.
His practice concentrates on workers' compensation, workers’ compensation insurance issues and insurance program claims management and risk management. He successfully represents individual insureds and insurance carriers in the areas of traumatically induced workers’ compensation claims and nationwide insurance risk management. He is actively involved in pre-risk and post-risk analysis of claims and insurance programs as to their impact on insurance coverage issues, insurance premium issues and cost factors in maintenance of programs.
Mr. Schrimpf has successfully represented large insureds in their nationwide insurance programs to significantly reduce costs involved with claims handling, benefits paid, bonding requirements for self-insured programs and insurance costs. He has been actively involved in management of National Workers’ Compensation Claims Programs for large insureds and National Insurance Carriers.
Mr. Schrimpf is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of Steubenville. He received his law degree from Duquesne University School of Law where he was an American Jurisprudence Award Winner. Prior to completing his college education, he was admitted to and attended the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Mr. Schrimpf is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States Court of Appeals in the Western District of Pennsylvania, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the American, Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations.
Mr. Schrimpf has lectured before various groups concerning workers' compensation issues, medico-legal issues, occupational disease issues, Federal Black Lung litigation and claims management issues.
