William Pietragallo, II

WILLIAM PIETRAGALLO, II, is a founding partner of Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti, LLP.  Recognized as an accomplished trial attorney, he is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, and a Diplomat of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers.  He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America for ‘Bet-the-Company Litigation.’ He has been named as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer, and is also recognized by that publication as one of the outstanding attorneys in Business Litigation and Corporate Counsel.

Likewise, Mr. Pietragallo has been listed by The BTI Consulting Group as one of 114 lawyers nationally who have been designated by Fortune 1000 companies as providing “superior client service.”  This national recognition was granted to only three lawyers in Pittsburgh, and six in Pennsylvania.

Mr. Pietragallo is Chair of the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, and previously completed a 6-year term on the Pennsylvania Civil Rules Committee.

Mr. Pietragallo’s practice is concentrated in the areas of commercial litigation, business, securities, and complex civil litigation.

Mr. Pietragallo received his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he currently serves as an Adjunct Professor, teaching Litigation Planning and Strategy.  Mr. Pietragallo graduated from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio, and also studied abroad, attending Loyola University of Rome in Italy.

He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, and has been specially admitted to the Courts of over 20 other states, as well as the Third, Ninth and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeals.

Active in community service, Mr. Pietragallo serves as the Chairman of the Board of the Magee-Womens Hospital of Pittsburgh, and is an Executive Member of the Board of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and the UPMC Health Plan.
