Robert P. Lenart
ROBERT P. LENART, a partner with the law firm of Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti, LLP, is a member of the Intellectual Property Practice Group.
He has a broad range of experience in the protection, enforcement and commercial exploitation of all types of intellectual property, including: United States and foreign patent prosecution; trademark and copyright registration; drafting and negotiating licensing agreements; trademark and title clearances; patent infringement and validity opinions; cease and desist letters; software agreements; technology development agreements; government contracts; intellectual property aspects of the acquisition and divestiture of businesses; patent searches; right-to-use investigations; employee intellectual property agreements; manufacturing licenses; and intellectual property assignments.
Mr. Lenart is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, and is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, Pittsburgh Intellectual Property Law Association, and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
He has experience as an electrical engineer and has dealt with a broad range of electronic and electrical technologies, as well as software inventions.
Formerly Assistant General Counsel of a Fortune 100 company, he represented power generation, defense electronics, and communications businesses with large patent portfolios.
He received his law degree from Duquesne University School of Law. Mr. Lenart received both a master’s degree in bio-engineering and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
