Emily J. Hicks
Emily J. Hicks is a partner in the Product Liability practice of the Pittsburgh office of Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti, LLP. Ms. Hicks is a civil litigator with expertise in product liability and commercial litigation.
Her experience includes all aspects of litigation, from administrative proceedings to mediation to trials and appeals. She has defended cases in state and federal courts in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, California, Nevada and throughout the country.
Ms. Hicks re-joined Pietragallo Gordon after five years of practicing product liability litigation in California. During her years of experience, she has defended the design, manufacture and performance of a diverse array of products made by some of the world's largest manufacturers. These products include pharmaceuticals, medical devices, automobiles, tires, industrial machinery and helmets.
Ms. Hicks received her J.D. from the West Virginia University School of Law, where upon her graduation she received recognition as a member of the Order of the Coif. She graduated magna cum laude from West Virginia University in 1997 with a B.A. in political science. While in law school, Ms. Hicks served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Irene M. Keeley in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia.
Ms. Hicks is admitted to practice in the state courts of Pennsylvania, West Virginia, California and Nevada. She is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the Western District of Pennsylvania, Northern District of West Virginia, and Southern, Central, Eastern and Northern Districts of California. She is a member of the Defense Research Institute and the American Bar Association.
