Eric A. Fischer
ERIC A. FISCHER is a senior associate with Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti, LLP and a member of the Litigation Defense Practice Group. His practice concentrates in the areas of civil litigation, criminal defense and asbestos.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Fischer spent 13 years in the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office. Mr. Fischer served as a Senior Assistant District Attorney and has tried to verdict over 100 jury trials, as well as more than 3000 bench trials, pleas and motions. Moreover, for 6-1/2 years he worked with the Crimes Persons and Child Abuse Unit.
Mr. Fischer’s extensive trial experience complements his leadership role as supervisor of the Pre-Trial and Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition Units of the District Attorney’s Office. Before his tenure with the District Attorney’s Office, Mr. Fischer assisted on labor contract negotiations and arbitrations for a private practice.
Mr. Fischer is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida.
Mr. Fischer is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Pennsylvania. He is an active member of the American Bar Association, as well as the Pennsylvania Bar Association serving on the Corrections System and Judicial Administration Committees and the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Executive Council for its Criminal Law Section.
Mr. Fischer has served as a Guest Lecturer at Seton Hill University. He is a former Athletic Director and served on the Boards of Directors of Saint Alexis Athletic Association and the North Allegheny Tigers Junior Wrestling Association. Mr. Fischer coached for Saint Alexis Youth Basketball, McCandless Athletic Association Youth Baseball and North Allegheny Tigers Junior Wrestling Association. He is a member of the Board of Directors and serves as the treasurer for the Institute for Research, Education and Training in Addictions (IRETA). Mr. Fischer is a Vice President of “SteelGators,” the Pittsburgh Area University of Florida Alumni Group.
