Robert J. D'Anniballe, Jr.
ROBERT J. D'ANNIBALLE, JR. is a partner of Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti, LLP, where he is chair of the Financial Services Practice Group and also a member of the Litigation Defense Practice Group. He is based in the firm's Steubenville, Ohio and Weirton, West Virginia offices.
Mr. D’Anniballe’s practice focuses on corporate, commercial, financial, and professional liability matters. He has a national practice representing actuaries and other employee benefit professionals.
Mr. D’Anniballe began his legal career in the Office of the Attorney General of the State of Ohio, serving in the Financial Institutions Section from June to November of 1981. He then served as Special Counsel for the Ohio Attorney General from 1981 to 1995.
He served five three-year terms on the Board of Directors of the former Weirton Steel Corporation until July 2003, where he also served as chairman of the Corporate Responsibility Committee of the Board of Directors, and was appointed as a member of Audit Committee of the Board of Directors until July, 2003. Mr. D’Anniballe served as Adjunct Professor for Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2004, and was elected as a member of the Board of Directors of the Coventry Healthplan of West Virginia from 1997 through 2003.
He is currently chairperson of the Steubenville Port Authority. He also currently serves as a board member for Trinity Health Systems Foundation, is co-chairman of the Steubenville Civil Service Commission and a member of the board of advisors of the Franciscan University of Steubenville.
Mr. D’Anniballe obtained his J.D. from The University of Akron School of Law, where he received numerous honors, including the American Jurisprudence Award presented by the Lawyers Co-Operative Publishing Company and Bancroft-Whitney Company for excellent achievement in the study of corporations.
Mr. D’Anniballe earned his B.S. magna cum laude, from The University of Steubenville, where he received the Department of Business Administration Award for the highest graduating average.
Mr. D’Anniballe is licensed to practice in all state courts in Ohio and West Virginia. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth and Sixth Circuits, U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia and the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio and the U.S. Tax Court.
He is a member of the American Bar Association, the West Virginia State Bar, the Ohio State Bar Association, the DRI Insurance Law Committee, the Hancock County Bar Association and the Jefferson County Bar Association.
